Small acts are equally important, as can be seen in the story of an old man who was walking along a beach in Mexico after an unusually strong spring storm. The beach was covered with dying starfish tossed up by the waves, and the man was tossing them back in the water one by one. A visitor saw this and came up to him. “What are you doing?” “I’m trying to help these starfish,” the old man replied. “But there are tens of thousands of them washed up along these beaches. Throwing a handful back doesn’t matter,” protested the visitor. “Matters to this one,” the old man replied as he tossed another starfish into the ocean.

Our classes are designed to accommodate all skill levels by modifying poses with the assistance of props so that everybody can reap the benefits of the pose.
Yoga for back pain? Oh, yes!! The perfect remedy! Yoga for carpal tunnel? Yup. Who would have guessed? Headaches, depression, insomnia, yoga can help. Are you experiencing a stressful transition in your life? Yoga can help with mental/emotional issues too!!
Take your first session and see how your life will change. It may be a physical workout or a mental workout with a relaxing and gentle asanas. Your session can be modified on a daily basis to meet your changing needs, physically, spiritually and emotionally. A complete mind and body challenge. Be good to yourself.
You get out of yoga what you decide to put into your yoga practice. Choosing how much time, energy and attention you give your personal practice and class time will determine how your mind and body respond. Make the most of your class time, bring your props. You will have a much more pleasant experience if you aid your workout with a few props. Although we will not use all props everytime, it is a good habit to come prepared. Teachers design classes assuming students will have the props they need. It can be frustrating for a student to miss out while others experience the benefits of a particultar asana. Although some props are available at the studio, there availablity is limited. Treat yourself to your best yoga practice, come prepared.
Props may include mat, bolster, blocks, belt, blanket(s), folding chair, eyebag, sandbag etc. You do not need all props, we highly recommend at least a mat, or even better~ mat, belt, block(s), blanket(s), & eyebag.The use of props such as chairs, straps, blocks, blankets and even sandbags, compensate for a lack of flexibility, helping anyone with back or joint problems. The props help you modify and tailor yoga poses to your specific needs, assuring proper alignment and success within the pose.
